Maple Terms of Use
Welcome to Maple. These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of our marketplace. By registering as a seller or purchasing products, you enter into a legally binding agreement with Maple.

1. Scope of Service and User Roles
Maple provides an online platform that acts as a marketplace for the creation and sale of digital goods. We facilitate the connection between buyers and sellers and manage the payment processing and fund transfers via our payment partner.
Seller Responsibilities and Onboarding
- Immediate Selling: Upon signing up with a valid email and password, Sellers are immediately enabled to create and publish digital products. This allows you to begin selling and accumulating earnings without delay.
- Product Creation: Sellers must provide accurate information including a product name, detailed description, the price (in PKR), a cover image, and the final, actual product file.
Platform’s Role
Maple acts as a service provider and payment facilitator. We are responsible for managing the payment gateway, tracking funds, ensuring security, and transferring net earnings to the seller. We are not responsible for product quality, delivery failures caused by third-party systems, or content legality.
2. Prohibited Content and Legal Compliance
The integrity of our marketplace and the safety of our users is paramount. Uploading any prohibited content is a severe violation that will result in immediate and permanent account closure.
Strictly Prohibited Content Categories
Sellers are forbidden from uploading, listing, or selling any digital product that falls into these categories:
- Illegal or Harmful Goods: Any files, documents, or content deemed illegal under local or international law, or content that incites violence, hatred, or discrimination.
- Intellectual Property Infringement (Piracy): You must possess all necessary rights and licenses to the content you sell. Selling pirated software, copyrighted movies, music, assets, or templates without proper authorization is strictly forbidden.
- Security Breaches: Malware, viruses, exploit kits, phishing tools, or content designed to breach network security or compromise user data.
- Harassment and Obscenity: Content that is harassing, defamatory, obscene or contains explicit or adult material (pornography, sexually suggestive content, etc.).
Severe Legal Warning and Consequences
ATTENTION: Uploading or attempting to sell content that is pirated, illegal, obscene, or harmful constitutes a severe crime. Maple will fully cooperate with local authorities and our payment partner in any investigation.
Depending on the nature of the crime, violators may be subject to substantial fines, seizure of funds, and severe cases may result in criminal prosecution and jail time. Your account and all associated funds may be frozen immediately upon suspicion of a violation.
3. Financial Processing and Payouts
Fund Settlement and Platform Fees
All customer payments are processed securely by our payment partner, Stripe. The entire transaction amount first settles in our platform's holding account.
- Fund Availability: Due to banking and settlement processes, funds from a sale take between 2 to 7 business days to clear and become available for your withdrawal. This is the period required for the bank transfer to be irreversible.
- Fee Structure: Your product price is subject to standard payment processor fees (charged by Stripe) and the Maple platform fee (currently 7% of the gross sale price). Your dashboard will accurately display the net amount credited to you after all fees are deducted.
Currency Conversion and Reporting
Your funds are processed and held in US Dollars (USD) in the backend. Since our platform operates in Pakistan, we convert the funds for display purposes:
- Exchange Rate Source: We utilize the Fixer.io API to provide you with the exchange rate. Fixer.io is a highly accurate service trusted by major global companies (including Microsoft and Samsung) and provides historical rates for ledger integrity.
- Display Rate: Your dashboard shows your earnings in PKR based on the exchange rate at the moment of the sale. This locked-in rate prevents your historical earnings from fluctuating with daily market changes.
- Disclaimer: The final amount deposited in your bank may vary slightly due to real-time fluctuations during the final transfer process.
Mandatory KYC (Know Your Customer) Requirements
To comply with international Anti-Money Laundering (AML) laws and to enable cross-border transfers to your Pakistani bank account, we require full identity verification. This process is mandatory and non-negotiable.
To request your first withdrawal, you must submit the following secure data:
- Full Identity: Date of Birth, Full Residential Address, and Phone Number.
- Official ID: Your National Identification Number (CNIC).
- Document Uploads: Clear scans of the front and back sides of your CNIC or Passport.
- Bank Details: Your bank account information, including Account Title, IBAN, and the bank’s SWIFT Code.
The verification process can take time. Once verified and you submit a withdrawal request, funds typically take 3 to 10 business days to arrive in your Pakistani bank account. We will notify you if additional verification is required, which may extend this timeline.
